Parquet installation
Flooring, whether parquet, vinyl, rustic or finished, requires expertise and precision. Each type of floor has its own specific characteristics, which affects the choice of method and connections during installation.
Preparation and impregnation of the substrate
Substrate preparation is a key step before installing any type of flooring. A well-prepared base ensures that the installed floor will be solid, stable and long-lasting.
Impregnation of the substrate is the process of applying a special coating (impregnate) to the substrate in order to improve its properties and prepare it for the acceptance of glue or other connecting elements.
Grinding and varnishing
Parquet sanding is a process of renovating a wooden surface that includes removing old layers of varnish, oil or other coatings, and leveling irregularities on the surface. This procedure is carried out with special grinders with different types of sandpaper in order to achieve a smooth and uniform surface.
Varnishing the parquet is the final step in the restoration of the parquet. After sanding, several layers of varnish are applied to the cleaned and prepared surface in order to protect the parquet from external influences, moisture, dirt and mechanical damage. Varnish also gives the parquet shine and a beautiful appearance.
Restoration and renovation of the parquet
Renovation of the parquet means returning the old parquet to its original appearance and functionality. This process usually involves:
Sanding: Removing old layers of varnish or oil, and leveling the surface.
Kitanje: Repair of damage, cracks and missing parts.
Varnishing or oiling: Protection and aesthetic appearance of the parquet.
Staining and oiling
Parquet staining is a wood coloring technique that gives it the desired shade and at the same time preserves the natural structure of the wood. The stain penetrates into the pores of the wood and colors it from the inside, which gives a deep and rich color.
Parquet oiling is a finishing method that uses a special oil to protect and care for the wood. The oil penetrates deep into the pores of the wood, nourishes it and protects it from moisture, dirt and mechanical damage.
Installation of moldings
Installing skirting boards is the final step in installing any type of floor, including parquet, laminate or vinyl. Moldings are decorative elements that are placed next to the walls to hide the space between the floor and the wall, but they also have a practical function - they protect the walls from dirt and damage.
